Additional Comments: Pressure is 11-14. Old CPAP was a Resmed S6 Lightweight. Also have Profile lite mask. ResScan is actually version 3.14. Now I use Sleepyhead.

Another thing which helps with inflammation and chronic pain is uninterrupted sleep. THat's how I was originally diagnosed. Pain that wouldn't stop after my cancer surgery.
Interestingly, I had very bad shoulder pain that essentially disappeared on CPAP, but the back pain has developed since CPAP. I thought it was all weight related, but so far I haven't lost enough weight to make a difference. Now I'm thinking it was all caused by inflammation. I've noticed I've been sleeping even better (was sleeping pretty good with CPAP) this past week. I certainly have more energy!

I have had good luck with the old Scarsdale diet: http://lowcarblisa.tripod.com/thescarsd ... /id18.html

I like it because they tell you exactly what to eat. Unless quantities are indicated, you eat whatever quantity you are comfortable with...within reason. It includes fruits and vegetables. Except for the carb cut, it is reasonably well balanced, is NOT super-high fat, and can be used as a blueprint for establishing better eating habits.
