Return of the NoseBleeds Grrrr
Return of the NoseBleeds Grrrr
Well, the Dreaded Nosebleeds have returned. I take daily Vitamin C supplement and for awhile the Nosebleeds were gone but .suddenly they have returned. I guess I will resort back to the simply saline in the Nose and Bacitracin in the Nose again before masking up at night. I use the HH nightly with a fairly High setting so I am puzzled as to why the Nose is Bleeding again. I do have some minimal dryness in the morning but not Bad.
Re: Return of the NoseBleeds Grrrr
I know it's autumn where you are, but is anything flowering this time of year? any crops spraying nearby? fairly large temperature drop? and the more likely, a change in humidity?
I have no idea how humid or cold it gets where you are, but you may find you do not need the humidifier on at all during the certain parts of the year.
My nosebleeds eventually went away when I stopped using the heated humidifier. First I used it passive for a while, and they went away.. I eventually stopped using it all together and disconnected it out of laziness. I live close enough to the ocean for the air humidity to be fairly constant, and the temperature in Bundaberg doesn't vary all that much.
I suggest you clean and dry your hose and equipment thoroughly.. clean your humidifier tank, use pure water in your tank when you refill it and change it nightly.. I just used normal shop bottled water or filtered when I was ran out. Doesn't have to be fancy distilled stuff, although that doesn't hurt.
The saline sprays worked really good for me while things were still a little raw.
Good luck, I hope this clears up for you quickly. nosebleeds aren't fun.
