Software compatible with Windows 8?

Post by rippersmom » Sat Sep 28, 2013 7:35 pm

Hi folks,

It's been a long time since I've posted, but I have popped in from time to time to lurk a while.

I am considering the Intellipap Auto for my next machine, since my Resmed S8 Elite II is 5 years old and the thing is getting cranky with starting. I prefer to go with an auto this time for a number of reasons. I plan to acquire the software for monitoring my therapy.

Sadly, the Resmed software is not useful now, since the card reader isn't recognized by Windows 8, the data card is ancient and inconsistant in downloads (I have to use my old laptop with XP to use the software now), and dragging out the laptop each time is a PIA. Time for a new machine for sure!

My DME has been good, no complaints there, but the current pricing at cpap.com is really good for this unit, humidifier, and software bundle. It would be less expensive, overall, for me to purchase this machine. Maybe my insurance will reimburse me a little, I'll check.

BUT, will the software work on Windows 8?? Will SleepyHead work on Windows 8??
Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I am pretty sure that we have Windows 8 users here who are using SleepyHead.

Yep, using the latest versions of both ResScan and Sleepyhead on Windows 8, no problems with either. Both installed easily, and run well. My laptop has a built-in card reader, which makes life pretty easy.

So no problems, just go for it.

Thanks for the responses. I ordered the Intellipap auto, humid. and software package this afternoon. Whoohoo!
