Hi all,
I just got my ASV machine yesterday (in my signature) and spent my first night with it last night. It was certainly a rough night, but I managed to keep on it for over 8 hours.
I loaded up Sleepyhead and imported the data from the SD card to look at the data. According to Sleepyhead, I only used the machine for 2 hours and 26 minutes last night. It shows my AHI as 39747.02. I sure hope it isn't that bad!
According to the machine, I had a AHI of 13.1 last night and ran the machine for 8.3 hours. So I see this as one of two things: 1) Sleepyhead is doing something wonky (technical term) or 2) the machine didn't copy all of the data to the SD card.
My guess is that it is #2. So I'm curious if the machine writes out data to the card constantly, or if it "batches" data up and writes it out when you turn off the machine. I wonder this because my alarm clock was misbehaving this morning and in my haze I just hit the switch on the power strip, thus cutting the power to the ASV machine. If this thing writes out data at the end, perhaps it was lost. This would actually make sense, since a couple hours into the night last night I turned the machine off to use the restroom. So that might explain the 2:26 worth of data on the card.
Anybody know the answer? I know I could probably figure it out on my own given time and experimentation, but you all seem to know a whole lot about the nuts and bolts.
On a side note, this thing is sure going to take some getting used to. I now realize that my central apneas start up the second I start to doze off, and the high pressure wakes me right back up! If I recall the machine said it's max IPAP last night was 23. Seems high!
Thanks so much!
Tim

SleepyHead is not compatible with the 960 PR S1 ASV model.
I will send you a private message in a little bit containing information about the software that you need for your machine.

Re: Data not loaded onto SD card?
I have the same machine as yours, and I got the identical results on Sleepyhead when I first loaded it onto my computer over two months ago. I also have a Mac computer with OS X (Snow Leopard) as the operating system. All my efforts to make it work on the SD card have been fruitless.
My Sleep doc and DME have no problem with getting the correct data off the machine itself when I bring it in, as they have their own software and it is read right from the PR model 760 with no need at all for the SD card.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

The PR S1 model 960 machine won't work with SleepyHead at all...neither the Windows or Mac version.Lambeau wrote:I have the same machine as yours, and I got the identical results on Sleepyhead when I first loaded it onto my computer over two months ago. Only thing that will work is Encore Pro 2.12 and it's a Windows only software.
If you can get a Windows environment on your Mac or a Windows PC computer let me know.
