I've never had to worry that my cats will eat the hose (or my nose), but Ecco (little black dynamo - may change my avatar soon) is an expert at stepping on the 'off' button to wake me for breakfast. Not news to oldies here, but maybe time for a repeat!

Well, she'll have been with us four years on the 8th of November.

We installed a metal gate, five feet high, across the hall to keep her out of my CPAP stuff.

She now has a "younger brother," Master Harper the black and tan longhaired Dachshund. Harper's uninterested in my CPAP stuff. Babette still tries to get to it.

And she's still terrified of being abandoned.

My dog (Bearded Collie) must take prozac to deal with his separation anxiety. Have you tried a thundershirt on your on your Kitty?

Babette is a Beagle. Not a kitty. Have not tried a thunder shirt on her. She's fine as long as she has her Pack with her. She loved being with Shadow and Sunny Longhair Dachshund, but we lost Sunny a little less than a year ago. Mr. Shadow is 15.5, and we know it's not IF, it's WHEN. Though he's still doing well.

We got Harper LH Dachshund as much for Babette as for ourselves so that she would not be alone when Shadow leaves us.

3 cats atm and they mostly ignore the CPAP.. The older 2 have occasionally stepped on it and turned it on accidentally, but mostly they don't pay attention unless it's on and they won't get to close. Our newest addition to the cat side of the family is Turtle. Shes 4-5 months old and we are having a issue with her. She thinks she is a bird and should spend 90% of her time in the air.
See I always sleep on my back due to back issues, And sometimes pull the sheet/blanket over my head. Needless to say even a 3 lb cat can be pain full when she launches herself at your face from the foot of the bed to *POUNCE* the moving covers. lol. uncovered she gently pokes at the vent a couple of times and get bored and wanders off.

in 18 years of CPAP I've never had a pet mess with it.

How does your vent work effectively if you cover your face with bedding?
