Info needed cheapest place for new masks

Post by newhosehead » Tue Sep 17, 2013 7:53 am

It's been a very long time since I've been on this forum. If I could get some information about the most inexpensive places for masks I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Masks aren't cheap no matter where you look, but day in and day out I would think it would be very hard to beat the prices of our host here, cpap.com. I don't think you can beat their service anywhere. Sometimes you can catch a special on shipping, but most masks are over $100. which gets free shipping anyway.

Be aware that some mask manufacturers (Resmed for instance) appear to enforce a "fair trade" policy on their current mask line, which means there is only going to be one retail price on it no matter where you shop.

Good luck in your quest!

Actually there are some cheaper new ones our there -- either older designs like the PR Comfort Fusion, or Comfort Gel/Classic, or some of the newer Chinese generic knock-off brands. I wouldn't imagine the greatest designs, but at least cheaper. Definitely under $100. And for value, you also need to look at the replacement parts costs. Some replacement cushions are cheaper than others. Some masks, which are cheap to buy at first, don't actually have replaceable cushions. The whole mask must be thrown out when the cushion wears out in a few months. So you need to look out for that hidden cost, too....

Forum member Mcdover sells certain name brand masks for $30.00. Do a search of his name.

another way to buy a mask is to buy it in "parts" from Amazon or Ebay. I have seen some really reasonable parts for very current and popular masks at Amazon. You just have to buy the parts separately because of prescription rules etc.

Well, I guess it would be accurate to say he DID supply masks.
