Just used my last Remzzzs liner...

Post by Cutnstuf » Sun Sep 15, 2013 9:35 pm

...to create a template for making my own out of an old t-shirt. Pretty good looking knock-off if I do say so myself.

I'm not creative enough to do that.... So I bought pad-a-cheek liners...

mine have been in use for a year now with no sign of any wear or deterioration

I wish I could have gotten Pad a Cheek liners to work for me. I tried them on two different masks with bad results. Maybe I'm an odd ball. Hoping the Remzzzs work.

just curious.... how long did you try the liners on each mask & what were the bad results?

thank you for asking. I tried each liner about 2 weeks. The "bad" results I mentioned were increased leaks (that is, increased compared to no liner on the same mask). I concluded increased leaks by the 2 week trend in Sleepyhead for each case. I relied on that because I noticed that leaks were harder for me to physically detect while using the liners because the liner "softened" the leaks. I realize that could be a good thing, but in my case I did not like the level of increased leaks. I was surprised; I am aware that plenty of people report decreased leaks.

Considering my higher pressure settings; a good night for me is when my 95% leak level is below 10cm...

It was too easy to lay in bed and get fixated on leaks or the icky feeling of silicone on my face.

Now if the leak didn't disturb my sleep & isn't huge - I tend to ignore it in my sleepyhead data

I'd never have gotten to this point without pad-cheek liners.

Rem-zzs slipped and slid on my mask & face and they are costly

I've not tried the Pad-A-Cheek, but they look real well thought out. My main gripe on the Remzzzs was the cost, $25. for 30 is awfully steep. I had a problem with the Remzzzs slipping too, so what I do is put 3 small pieces of surgical tape, 1 at the top and 1 each at the sides to keep it in place.
