hey Mark, are you going to repost your DS560 again indicating its for sale. There are some newbies on this board who don't have insurance that might think its sold by the title of this (ghastly) thread. I wish I had the money to buy it as a backup.

I have not decided what to do. I took down another machine I had listed also. It is surprising how one person can screw things up for so many. It is a hobby and a passion for me to try to help people get fully data capable machines without getting taken advantage of by DMEs. I will deal with reasonable PMs from those interested. I think I need some time without drama before getting back into this.

I can see why you have a bad taste in your mouth from this, but at least you "opted out" before something even more weird happened...

This could be just a case of miscommunication. The way things are in this world you have to be extremely careful where you go and who knows your address. When I have to go to an address on Craigslist I google it and go to streetview before I ever set out. When I get there I send that to my daughter and tell her if I don't call her within 30 minutes to call the police and tell them where I am. If someone has your address they could show up anytime without warning. I do know and trust Mark but it is always better to err on the side of caution. Hansong give it a little more thought and maybe you would have done the same thing.

STL Mark has an outstanding reputation on this forum...and one that is well deserved. Had you done a little research before putting up a besmirching post, you would have learned that your opinion is not shared by others. (check it out yourself, there are MANY here he has helped).

My own purchase experience was that he was professional and courteous, and the entire transaction went very smoothly. The price was very fair, the equipment was exactly as promised and in perfect condition, and it arrived quickly.

As nanwilson stated, a simple forum search will show you that many others have had quite similar experiences. He is also very helpful to the community.

We get a lot of scammers on this site (as do many other online forums) and it is all too common for a brand new member with no established posts or reputation to try and take advantage. So perhaps you can understand why there might be strong apprehension on the part of the seller, especially given the circumstances described.

I just bought a PR auto unit from STL Mark, and the entire transaction was perfect. I recommend him.
