S9 autoset HH Tempature setting ?
S9 autoset HH Tempature setting ?
I have the HH setting on my S9 autoset set at 79 and normally use a full tank of water during the night. But Recently I have noticed that the HH heating Plate is barely warm after a full night of use. Is this normal of something I should be concerned about ? Thank you.
Re: S9 autoset HH Tempature setting ?
Is 79 the temperature setting? I can only tolerate 61. Generally I like hot weather but the air in the tube is very warm even at 61.
I wonder if my machine has an error.

The ResMed S9 set up has built in sensors to read the temp and % humidity in your room and make adjustments to keep the settings you choose. It is normal for the heating plate to feel cooler at times. If you are using a tank of water, I'd guess it's working.DannyPh wrote:I have the HH setting on my S9 autoset set at 79 and normally use a full tank of water during the night. I must be NUTS!!!
I have the humidifier turned off as even 60* is WAY too warm. I fill up the container with ice every night before going to bed so the coming into my nose is as cold as possible. I have found that if I put crushed ice in it seems to be cooler.

Yep. I encountered this last night. The humidity in our region is seldom above 10 percent and I know just about how much water the humidifier on my S9 will use during the night on a 71 setting. Yesterday a front moved in with humidity between 60 and 70 percent. Last night my humidifier hardly used any water and I already had assumed it most have a sensor that monitors room humidity and adjusts accordingly.

What is your ambient bedroom temperature?Gparr wrote:I must be NUTS!!!

Does anyone know how the S9 can take an ambient bedroom temperature of say 70 degrees and cool it down to 60 degrees to be delivered via the hose? How can it be done without some sort of cooling agent like freon? Am I missing something here?

Re: S9 autoset HH Tempature setting ?
Good point Pugsy the ClimateLine hose & the Humidifier can "heat" the temperature higher than room temperature but that is it unless you add ice.
