2 Yrs and a few months - Check up

Post by LaurieP » Wed Aug 28, 2013 4:50 pm

Yesterday was my yearly check up and I have to say it went GREAT!!! Since I have spent a lot of time here reading I have learned so much and have been very active in my own treatment. The doctor said that I don't have to come back for 2 years. She said she wasn't concerned with my treatment or my knowledge about OSA and machines. She has always been open to hear what I would like to change and has followed up with the RX that I need.

I love having a doctor that trusts me and is willing to hear and work with me. I wish everyone was as lucky

Thanks to everyone on this board for your knowledge and insight, much appreciated!!!

Laurie

Wow that is just great to hear. What kinds of changes have you noticed with CPAP?

I have lost 40lbs, done 2 5K's and my daughter says it's too quiet in the house since I no longer snore. LOL I'm generally asleep within minutes of hosing up and I rarely wake during the night or take naps. I believe that I had OSA since my late teens/early 20's cause I would be up a number of times during the night but I just thought it was normal to read at all hours. I feel better health wise and a lot more active. I won't take a nap or sleep without my CPAP ever, the thought makes me very uncomfortable.

So many improvements hard to list them all.
