I have already modified my headgear on my first mask. LOL Only 1 nights worth of testing so and far it is a sucess.
I am waking up MUCH more refreshed and "ready to rock" I'm not usually a morning person but my job has been a early morning job for many years and it's been difficult for me to get up and running on time.
My wife has noticed much more energy already but as funny as this may seem she misses my snoring and is having issues with the room being too quiet now. I asked if she wanted me to take the mask off for a night so she could record it so she could sleep better to which she replied YES!
She has also noticed me being very still during the night except for the second night on CPAP. Don't know what that was all about but I was extremely restless the second night yet I felt I slept well.
Lastly, I woke up 4 times or so last night with my lower jaw extended and my lower teeth in front of my uppers and pulling back against the uppers. Didn't bother me much just thought it was odd. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Looks as though treatment is starting to kick-in! The fun part is how far will it go? A comment on you being very still and not moving around as much at night... this is normal. At first, some folks (including myself) would wake up in the morning feeling very sore (the back, neck, hip, etc...). I think your body is used to moving around all night, and being still causes you to be in one position a long time... thus the soreness. You'll get used to it and it's really a nice problem to have. I have also found that I only need 6-7 hours of sleep. Prior to cpap therapy, I could sleep 8-10 hours and not feel nearly as refreshed.
Enjoy the ride...

Re: Things I have noticed by the end of my first week on CPAP..
Odd thing about the "sore or backache" is that I have had a lower backache every morning that I spent more than 5 hours in bed since last November and now on the CPAP I have not had a backache in a week and my 3rd night on the hose I slept over 9 hours and averaging about 7.25 hr a night in bed. So I must have been moving and twisting excessively in the past.

Or possibly the struggle to breathe I'm pulling my lower back out? Just a guess.
