Being a sci-fi fan, I used my imagination to put myself into a futuristic adventure to (hopefully) flow into my dreams.
The mask has also become a bondage prop.

Well, another 2 weeks have passed. It has been a slow process, but I finally was able to get a whole hour of sleep while using my CPAP about a week ago. I've been slowly increasing my mask wearing time, tried the different C-flex settings (I ended up liking the medium one (2) best, which was the original clinician setting anyway), and adjusting the initial ramp setting up to 6. I was still taking the mask off after several hours due to nose stuffiness and then falling asleep without it on for the rest of the night. (I would tell myself that I would restart the machine/mask in 10 minutes or so, but it didnt work....)
Last night was my best night so far, I slept the initial 1hr+30 as usual, removed the mask, but quickly put it back on and slept for another 2 1/2 hours!! I tried again right after that, but my nose was so stuffy that even though I am a mouth breather, I could feel myself having apnea events every minute or so (the machine was still ramping up). So I discontinued treatment knowing I had to get up for work today. Oddly, I slept through the alarm and was late to work for the first time in 10 years.
Once I finally got definite sleep with the mask on, my attitude changed. Now I welcome the chance to wear it nightly and push for greater compliance each night. I know my overall wearing stats still sound poor, but at least no more setting the equipment in a corner. Almost looking forward to tonight!!
I have my September work schedule in hand now and will be schedule a second sleep study, this time a full night mask titration, as requested by my doctor. Will be interested in the results, including what my leg movements do/indicate.

Have you tried turning down (or off) the humidifier to see if it helps the stuffiness?

I turned it down from 3 to 2 last night. May need to turn it down further because after my wife comes to bed, usually after me, she turns off the ceiling fan and ups the thermostat a few degrees. I do have the maching that supposedly automatically adjusts to temp and humidity changes, and it is activated, so I dont know. I do know that I need to get a small fan, cause I like the feeling of air circulating on me at night.
