Need to use CPAP if AHI = 3.1
Need to use CPAP if AHI = 3.1
I'm using the Resmed S9. The reading of AHI is 3.1 and the central is 0.4. Do I need to use the CPAP?

The only reason your AHI is that low is because you are using the CPAP. Without it your AHI will be much higher. What was your AHI at your Sleep Study.

I consistently get a daily AHI reading of a .2 or .3 AHI WITH cpap treatment. My sleep study was 70+ AHI. The answer to your question is YES.

Yes! The reason you have an AHI of 3.1 is because you are using cpap. Using cpap is not a "cure" for sleep apnea but rather a treatment - and the best one out there so far I might add! There really is no cure.
Just because you got your AHI down to 3.1 then does not mean you are cured. It means you are getting good treatment. If you stop, you will be right back where you started.
Sorry but that's how it is. I have used cpap for 13 years now and have an AHI of less than 1 most days but I would never stop using the machine.

Yes, check your sleep study results.
Also check and see the pressures the autopap had to use. If it was stuck low, I would imagine it isn't doing much for you - if it had to go higher - then your AHI were low cause it was helping you!
