Rescan Question

Post by Papa Foxtrot » Sun Aug 18, 2013 1:22 pm

I've finally figured out how to get the data out of a an S8 Compact. Seems you only insert the smart card to allow the machine to copy data over, then you remove the card. Anyway, I've installed Rescan v4.3.0.7081 on my computer and everything works fine except the Summary Graphs on the report. They will only show 2.5 months of usage even though I have six months of data. Any way around this. I've poked around in all the options and I can't figure out how to make it work.

Thanks!

Welcome, Papa.
It has been my understanding that the S9 series, which I have, will only save some data when the card is in,
as only some data is stored on the machine's internal memory.
I don't know if that's also the case with your machine.

The S8 machines didn't require that the Smart card be inserted all night to have all the data that the machine gathered unlike the S9 machine that requires the SD card to be in the machine all night to get the detailed data.

The S8 Compact only gathers hours of use summary which I imagine the OP has figured that out already. Nothing but hours of use but as to why ResScan isn't reporting the entire time frame I am not sure what is going on there unless it is a product of the report date range that was chosen.
The machine should store 1 years' worth of compliance usage data and thus transfer it to the software.
There should be a way to change the date range...if that has been done and the reports still don't show the 6 months of usage I don't know why it would be doing that.

I can change the date range in "Review", but the Summary Graph range doesn't change...

The statistical summary does show the correct data.

Actually, my machine only appears to be storing 6 months of data. I'm thinking of upgrading to an S9 after Jan. 1.
