ZEO questions
I'm thinking of getting a Zeo mobile ...
How is the battery charged? (Hopefully USB!)
Could it be worn/used with a ffm with a forehead support?
Since they are no longer being made ... What are the weak links? Things that wear out or break?

Re: ZEO questions
I also have one that I haven't even used, still in the box. The problem, as I understand it, is that now that they are out of business and closed down the website, I'm not sure how you can get or see the graph data that gets generated.
Maybe current Zeo users will comment, I am interested as well...

My understanding was that the site is still up ...
The mobile I thought blue toothed to my phone, and I could see it there??? Am I wrong?
I am a truck driver and my company forbids a power invertor in the truck (termination!)

This is for the bedside model, maybe some of it will help you read it on your computer. viewtopic/t88937/Zeo-PC-Viewer-Installa ... odels.html

Re: ZEO questions
I've got a mobile, it comes a base to charge it and a wallwart. I'm sure that it wouldn't take a lot of effort to replace the AC adapter; at least you don't have to worry about voiding your warranty. They recommend replacing the headband and the sensor every couple of months, I don't think you'll find a lot of replacements available given the product's life cycle. Once again a bit of ingenuity can go a long way if you're willing to roll your own:

I still use it with an android tablet at it works as advertised, but if I were you I'd make sure that the app was available and that it ran on your phone before buying one. Finally, I can't say anything about how a full face mask would affect it, but I'm guessing it would be an issue as it is supposed to go right on your forehead. One more thing to cobble together I guess, where there is a will there is a way.
Hope this helps

Re: ZEO questions
The site is down and Zeo is defunct. So there is no customer service should you have a problem.123.Shawn T.W. wrote:My understanding was that the site is still up ...
I don't have a mobile, I have a bedside, but it is my understanding, as Diggah said, the Zeo mobile can still be linked via Bluetooth to a cell phone. I'm not sure how much data you can retrieve through the cell phone, though. Maybe Diggah can tell us what he can access. I also understand, but don't have first hand knowledge, that Iphone links are difficult while android works fairly well.
I think the Zeo mobile pro might have used a usb charger, most used a dock with an AC/DC transformer. I don't know what the output voltage is. 12 volts and you'd be set. Diggah?
I have worn my Zeo head band (bedside, but basically the same) with a FFM (Quattro) nearly all the time. I've made a couple of mods that worked well, but the simplest and easiest way was just to wear it above the forehead piece below my slightly receding hair line. Works fine.
Jay

Re: ZEO questions
I checked the adapter it says it outputs 5v @ 1amp but I doubt it draws that much current. The base does in fact have a USB port that accepts the power adapter so you'll probably be ok with a USB charger/adapter. I plugged it into my desktop through a usb cable just for yuks and it seems to charge just fine. I may have upgraded my firmware that way as well back when I got the thing. I honestly don't remember (life was a bit more foggy back when I didn't realize that I had a sleeping disorder).
Regarding Jay's question; I've never attempted to export the data, I just look at the graphs and leave it at that. I know the other model can capture the raw data, which would probably make it more useful as it is more fine grain information (I believe the app averages every 5 minutes of brain activity).

Re: ZEO questions
Thanks!
I have an iPhone4, and charge it via a lighter plug, I can charge with that, or off my net book ... Good to hear I could use it above my Quattro!
I've read the battery is only good for one night ...
Anybody link it to an iPhone?
I'm just looking for more data on a "normal nights sleep" to provide a Dr with a better understanding of my troubles, compared to the horrible, unrealistic night observed in the sleep studies I've gone to!

Re: ZEO questions
I bought the Zeo Mobile a few months back and use it with my Droid Razr M phone. I use a FFM (F&P 431) and only need to remove the silicone at the forehead support. It sits nicely under the forehead support with the silicone taken out.
My phone and app give me the option of emailing the report from my phone, which is what I do. This is what I get when I do that. I used to upload the data to their website but never saw much more than what I get with this:

Unfortunately, some of the report is being cut off. I get the pie graph on my emailed report as well. It also breaks down total time on the Zeo and time in each stage of sleep/wake.
