Guess DME's think were all complete idiots
Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots
Yeah, I just finished reading through the graph explanations and such. The graphs for my first two nights have not been boring. AHI in the double digits and plenty of events to list. Hoping that this quiets down a bit or I guess I will be in for a pressure adjustment after the 30 days or whatever it is. Once again though, thank you for the awesome info in the posts on this site, I really have been learning a lot!

When I saw your post I thought for sure "Jeff will spot it" but you didn't.jdm2857 wrote:Damn!
I should have made the 60-Series -- old SleepyHead version connection.
That's okay you really haven't been on the Respironics bandwagon all that long so I won't hold it against you.
The problem is that at Sourceforge the "this is latest version" banner tab is pointing to the old version and when the May 19,2013 version was added..it wasn't put in the spot where it needs to be...Up at the top.
So I sent Mark a note just now and ask him to fix it please because it is causing me extra work and we all know I am a lazy sot.
Either leave the May 19 files where they are and let people figure out that they are the latest by totally removing "this is the latest" banner or move the new setup files up next to the banner.

Gee, Mark's fast.
I just took a look at the HTML of the SourceForge page to see what the
change would take (it's a one-character change in two places) and by the time I
finished looking, Mark had already made the change.

Yep, he got right back to me and said he would fix it. Now people won't be getting the older version by mistake. Should make things a lot simpler. I am so glad we have this new version because doing the Patch file thing to upgrade 9.2-1 to 9.3 was a chore for a lot of people. A lot of people would see those instructions and their eye would glaze over so bad I could see it from here.jdm2857 wrote:Mark had already made the change.

Well, that's another ding against upgrading to the 60 series for the hallibut. I've got 565 days on my 50-series' card and it's showing 97%.Pugsy wrote: Regarding the card being empty...the amount of data space used is so tiny that it won't register on the card for at least a month.
With mine I had 6 months of data on it and the card was still showing 96% available.
When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

I ran out of space on my SD card at about 270 days ... I wiped it out and started over ... I have the Respironics card ... I don't know what size it is.

ResMed S9's have the default setting for Quality at "Usage." It comes screwed up from the factory. No DME shenanigans needed.

Sleep Quality set to Usage limits the data displayed on the machine's screen. But
I don't think that it affects the data that is written to the SD card.
Am I wrong?

Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots
I can't swear to it but seems like I remember S9 users who were using SleepyHead software not having any data or graphs when the Sleep Quality was set to "usage" and as we know SH needs those data graphs to pull anything in the way of data for it to offer any data at all.jdm2857 wrote:Sleep Quality set to Usage limits the data displayed on the machine's screen. ResScan will show the summary stuff but SH won't so us anything without those graphs. I have had people say they can see hours of use but no detailed graphs are available when using ResScan.
So I am pretty sure that Sleep Quality set to "usage" also affects the data that gets recorded to the SD card.

Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots
I just checked the S9 Clinical Guide, and the only thing in mentioned in regards to the
Sleep Quality setting is that it controls whether or not the on-screen Sleep Quality Report
is displayed.
Does anyone have a S9 AutoSet or Elite be willing to do a quick test of this?
Just set Sleep Quality to Usage, sleep with the machine, and then check to see
if the SD card efficacy data was recorded. Doesn't have to be for an entire night;
a short nap would be fine.

I'm pretty sure it records all the time. My Sleep Quality was set to Usage when I got the machine for the first few days, until I went in and changed it, and I have full data in SleepyHead for those sessions.jdm2857 wrote:I just checked the S9 Clinical Guide, and the only thing in mentioned in regards to the

Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots
Yes, it will retroactively put the data on the SD card once "usage" is set to "on". So I would expect all that old data to be complete now.jeremyclarkson wrote: I'm pretty sure it records all the time. What would happen if you set it to usage...took a short nap or slept all night and then checked the SleepyHead data before turning it back to "On"?
Maybe the people who I remember not having full data available on SleepyHead with the machine set to "usage" were maybe doing something wrong...wouldn't be the first time. But I definitely remember an absence of data in SH and it was fixed when Sleep Quality was set to "on" instead of usage....now as to why...my memory could be faulty. I can't swear to it and I no longer have a S9 to test things.
