Hello!
Is it normal that my resmed s9 power supply gets extremely hot? If I leave my finger on it, it burns!

Check and see if you are using the heavy duty HEPA microbial filters (they appear very dense next to the standard filters). If so, they may be limiting the air flow into the machine and causing the power supply to overwork. Make sure your air filter is not over-loaded and gray in appearance. Also, check and see if the machine is operating with sunlight shining on its casing... this happened to me and will cause a big increase in heat production. Is the machine sitting on a towel or something soft like a carpet? This will restrict cooling circulation into the motor. I'm sure others will have more to add to this short list. If all these indications are negative, then you may have a bad power supply to deal with, so check your warranty. But first, eliminate the simple stuff before you send it out for maintenance.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Does it cool off when the machine is not running?
How about if it is plugged in but not connected to the machine?
Try it with the humidifier turned off or disconnected altogether.
