wildflowertx & grapeshly Thanks for your vote of confidence.

I'm still working through content and its parameters. Don't want to be confined to one topic or type. Not really going for profound, but some of the topics will get deep, and maybe even unpopular, but can I tell you how much I don't care about popularity?! lol Have segment ideas ranging from nostalgia to current events, mundane to hyped, funny to sad, mindless to thought provoking. My first inclination was to naysay my idea with "Who do you think you are?" but quickly countered with "Why not me?" As has been said, someone somewhere will be interested.

Thanks for letting me state my plans - gives them wings and gives me some accountability. I have been inclined in recent years toward getting easily overwhelmed and paralyzed by brain freeze, and this is my attempt to take back my life. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Let us know how to find you. I don't use facebook or twitter...occasionaly look-see on a you-tube topic of interest to me...lots of useless stuff out there to wade through. Your posts here are always of interest. I repeat, let us know how to find you.

I'm also very new hear. I've found that your comments are very helpful and insightful. Isn't there an old saying (or something like it) about a noise in the forest is not a noise if no one hears it? Go ahead, make a noise, I'll hear you.

I would LOVE to have access to a vlog such as you suggest. I have thought about starting a blog, too. Just thoughts and opinions on books, current events, movies, cooking, CPAP, whatever is on my mind. This would be with no expectation of anyone reading it. I even gave up Reddit because I only got minus points most of the time. I never have fit in with any group I've tried to join.
I am also a "woman of a certain age", which means in most of today's world that I am totally not relevant. I'm starting to see myself becoming invisible in stores, on the street. When my mother complained of this, I thought she was bonkers, but now I am seeing it myself, and I am a confident person.
Go for it! Obviously you have the talent and perspicacity to present something that would be interesting to the niche group you are targeting. It may be a larger group than you anticipate.
Good Luck, and keep us informed.

Make that a "person of a certain age"! Happens to men also! It's not so much becoming invisible or not relevant but rather more like becoming superfluous.

Thanks everyone for the continued input. I will make some noise, and let all you men and women, young and not-so-young, know when.

I really can relate in particular to this part of your reply. I too am a woman of a certain age now. I remember being in the store with my mom many years ago (her hair was almost totally white at the time) and she was trying to conduct business either with a cashier or whatever and the person would always totally bypass her and talk directly to me. Another good one is waiters are often willing to seat you at the most undersireable tables in restaurants. It's usually near the dirty dishes or just outside of the kitchen door. I'm much more willing to speak up and request a better table.

There's something about white hair that operates like a "cloak of invisibility".

I found that dyeing it purple/fushia had a great effect! If you dress to burn their retinas they find it hard to ignore you!

I love this blog too

Being a master procrastinator, it's been several months since I first toyed with the idea of starting a vlog. I recorded a couple, but the perfectionist in me wouldn't let me post them. I've missed every new deadline I set for myself, except this one - to post it by my birthday. So, even though my YouTube channel, LateNiteDiaries, is still very much a work in progress, I just broke the ice and uploaded my first vlog. I'll be uploading new ones weekly. Just wanted to share.

You did great. I subscribed. Your reviewer in the background went to sleep. You will have to introduce us to him in one of the next chapters of The Nights of our Lives. No that wasn't it... LateNiteDiaries yep that's it.
