littlebaddow..did I get that right? Come on in, the mud is fine.
I looked these masks up...Mirage Activa Nasal Mask with headgear and bag
$96.99 but limited sizes...med and large or small and medium.
Activa has only one size..small, medium or large.
Comfort lite 2 seems to have a complicated fitting..maybe not.
UMFF was $142 for only one size mask and headgear. Hope you measure correctly.
Seems like I got one of the few masks that gives me all 3 sizes.
Maybe I need to tighten the mask down more?
And why is the UMFF so much higher?
Besk mask for sleeping on your side/stomach?

I believe that Rested Gal recommends the rubber band trick for those who won't consider panty hose but I think that she, herself, uses the Panty Hose. When I use the Headrest and CL2 Simple Cushion I use Panty Hose too. Yeah, it sounds funny but...it works like a champ to gently hold the pillows tight against the nose. You cut one leg, or the other, off and use it like a real stretchy, gentle strap. You hardly even feel it. It is a great solution to applying gentle tension to any part of the interface. Like RG says, it is just like keeping your hand there all night.dllfo wrote:...and some people use panty hose for ...uh.. WHY DO YOU USE Panty Hose?
Because of the Swift exhaust design I haven't found a way to apply it to the Swift though.

Only go straight, don't know.
OH..now I see.
Well....my wife woke me at about 3am...saying...your mask is leaking...
I took it off...tossed it and went back to sleep. I did not sleep as well,
but she did.
If I tighten the straps too tight, the "nares" get sore. If I sleep on my back it does not leak, but sleeping on my back hurts too much
I can see why some people have several masks. My wife tried my Swift with
medium fitting, but at the sleep study Wed night she liked the small on that
mask.
one thing I like about the Swift is you get all 3 sizes. With some of the others you get one...or maybe two. With the Swift...if I didn't like it, I know my wife could use it. With most of the others, If I wear a large and her a small, we are stuck. I guess there aren't many families where husband and wife are using the machines.

Snoozin' Bluezzz explained the "why" very nicely. Here's the "how"... some ways to route an extra strap:
With the Aeiomed "Headrest" (Aura) -

With the Breeze -

With the ComfortLite 2 -

Stomach sleeping
Hi, I bought the UM II because the air vent is not blocked, as it's a 'wrap-around' sort of belt raised by a hair's breadth around the hard plastic, with a vent hole underneath, allowing the air to vent all around and away, but unless you purposely wrap something else around it, you're very unlikely to block it enough to ever matter. Also the Aura (Everest) headrest has a forehead(!) vent that's really hard to block entirely no matter how you sleep.
