I am a long time user of the Pur-Sleep products. The aromatherapy oils will cover any bad smell that your machine picks up. The only thing I've heard of that NOTHING can get around is tobacco smoke. Once it's in the machine it's there....
The only night of non-compliance for me (except the 6 nights in ICU and two without power) was in a "cheap-motel" whose concept of "non-smoking" was turning the ashtray over...I slept sitting up so that I didn't have to subject my machine to the odor...
Good luck!!!
cheers

I'm not a big one on washing my hose and head gear. But after traveling is one time that I do. I use a gentle UNSCENTED soap and warm water. Dry them, change the filters (fine and foam). I do not use an aroma therapy type product. I hate covering up one smell with another. The original doesn't really go away unless you clean the hose and mask and change the filters. (Oh, it will clear after a few nights .. but yuck!)
