Where to order online

Post by bmanley » Mon Jul 15, 2013 1:13 pm

I've been reading this site for a few days and have not seen this question so I hope I didn't miss it. But where is a good online place to order supplies with medicare? Is that ionsleep place I see any good or should I stay away from them? Last ones I got where from aprea and they over charged me so I don't want to go back there and I could really use so replacement items since it have been since last year when I got anything

You could order from our benefactor cpap (dot) com, the pricing is fair and so are they. You must use your own dimes, they don't do medicare. Jim

If you have a Medicare supplement plan, I would call them and ask what DMEs exist in your area. Then select one that is not a nationwide chain. Generally insurance will not pay for supplies from a firm that does not have representatives in your area to assist you. But each company is different and they may have an online firm they can refer you to. I have heard that Liberty Medical will work with insurance payments and submit the claims. I would confirm what your out of pocket costs will be prior to ordering from any one.

Check the link at the bottom of my post for a link to find Medicare providers in your area.
You need to enter your Zip code and then select CPAP, etc
You can choose your distance if nothing is close.

Well I check your link. Put in my zip and even changed the search area out to 50 miles from my zip and there are zero providers in my area. Not sure if I would have to look or drive farther then that or what. The reason I asked about the ionsleep place is because they say no out of pocket but I worry there is a trick just like other places.

If you are paying out of pocket like I did, look for coupon codes from online sellers and people selling machines privately on forums. I found a brand new machine for $100 less than the best price online from a private seller. Used is also an option.

I don't want to pay anything out of pocket if I can. Did pickup an S9 Elite the other day to have as a backup/travel machine. I have new S8 that if I remember right is the auto version I need to sell now, I got it to have as a backup. It has less then 40 hours on it

We do have a few forum members who are using Medicare and purchase online (and let the provider bill Medicare) but I can't think one right now that sticks out in my mind.
I don't recall ever reading about the one you mentioned...good or bad but that doesn't mean much.

Just keep giving your thread a bump to the top of the page and eventually those members who do purchase online and let the online provider bill Medicare and your secondary insurance (that's where the no out of pocket comes in is when the secondary or medicare supplement picks up the balance) so that you don't have to pay up front.
