S9 Autoset machine Upgrade?

Post by loganasu » Thu Jul 11, 2013 10:30 am

I'm having a problem with Apria (some will not be surprised) where my machine is not calibrated correctly.
They didn't have any at the satellite office so they recommended that than send one to me and than I'll send my bad one back out to them.

It's been two weeks later and I still don't have my new machine.
I have called them on several occasions and have been informed each time that I will be getting it UPS on the next day.

So I call again today and they inform me that my machine is going to be sent out today.
I asked what the delay was since the lady I spoke with on Monday said she had it in her hand and that it would go out on Monday.
Apria informed me that my model has been discontinued and they were waiting for the upgraded machine, which arrived today.

So, naturally, I asked what machine I was getting since it is being upgraded... A Resmed S9 Autoset

That's the same machine that I already have.

Does anyone know if there has been a newer version of the Resmed S9 Autoset in the last two years?
Or are they just giving me an answer to shut me up?

Thank you for your time.

I don't think that there is a S10 model on the horizon or we would have heard about it.
I think that they tried the old BS trick. Big surprise huh?

The only "upgrades" to the ResMed S9 AutoSet have been the different versions of it's internal software.

Find the version in your current machine & then compare it to the version in the new machine. Hopefully, they will be giving you a machine with a more current internal software version.

It wouldn't be at all surprising if there was some sort of software upgrade, manufacturing process change, change in the packaging, etc. at the factory and that's the story the DME got from their supplier.

It also wouldn't be surprising if someone somewhere in the supply chain twisted the truth a little.
