CPAP Loses Its Timing

Post by Thunnar » Tue Jul 09, 2013 10:11 pm

Greetings -

Here's one. I just started using the DeVilbiss Auto Adjust a month ago. So far, so good. Lately, however, when I check the daily Smartcode stats, it will show that I used the maching only a fraction of the time that I actually did. I put on the mask and go to sleep at 10PM, for example, and other than a quick bathroom break during the night, sleep until 6AM. I push the off button to silence the blower while I'm in the bathroom and so the hissing hose doesn't wake my wife. I slip the mask back on less than 2 minutes later and go right back to sleep. No long breaks.

I had thought that maybe a power outage was causing the system to lose its timing. But I hooked it to a UPS and the same thing happens. What can it be? I use the machine for 8 hours and it only shows 2 hours or 1, but not 8. I am results oriented and don't want to garf up my statistics.

Cheers!

Have you tried unplugging/replugging the machine to force the computer inside to reload?♠

Also, when you get back into bed after your short break, is it safe to assume that you press the ON button again?

That might be part of the probem since I have it on "Auto Start". I slip on the mask, take a few breaths, and it carries on . . . Some nights, no problem. It shows all hours accounted for. Just periodically now, it is under reporting the hours for some reason. But, YES, I am willing to assume it is me causing this somehow . . .

Sorry, forgot to add that I have unplugged/replugged the machine (when I got the UPS this past weekend). 2 nights went by no problem, all hours accounted for (same routine). Last night, 8 hours sleep, 1 bathroom break, Smartcode shows 0.9 hours used.
