battery powered bipap??

Post by jess928 » Mon Jun 05, 2006 4:33 pm

I'm pretty sure no one here knows the answer to this question, but I just felt like venting. When will some company come out with a lightweight battery powered bipap??? I would love something like that, it would give me so much freedom, and I KNOW the technology is there because they have these super-light CPAP models - even if you had to double the battery weight for the bipap it would still be well under 10 lbs. I wish there were some way for me to connect a lithium ion battery to my bipap. All these advances happen for CPAP people because that's the big market.....so how long do we bipapers have to wait for them to trickle down?

....sorry, long day.....

The answer is they do.

The Puritan Bennett GoodKnight 425 Bilevel machine runs on DC Cable, and Soon the Pro 2 Bi-PAP will have a cable, All you have to do is build up your musles and wallet. The Bi-PAP may require twice the current due to biger motors and pressure requirements. Jim
