Re: SNORING AGAIN
The first version of Encore basic also told the total time spent in apneas. I really miss that as an assessment of how I am doing. I am sure it helps many people (including sleep docs) know whether things are getting better or worse. Obviously if your AHI is going up or down, that's a clue, but it should not be the only one. It would be a great improvement in Sleepyhead if it could be added.

If you're using a high humidifier setting, you might try some lower settings. Too much humidity can make nasal congestion worse.
Along with that, it would appear that your pressure level is insufficient. Try moving it up one centimeter at a time for a few nights to a week per increase. See if that helps.
Post another one of those reports after a few more nights after the changes.

You talking like a Neti Pot? My humidity setting is at 2, been there for a long time now. have not changed it. Usually in the summer I lower it 1 or 0 since I live in a humid state, but have not moved it down yet.
I'll move the pressure up to 9 and see what the does for me and will post another daily. Thanks

Re: SNORING AGAIN
You need more pressure.......for lowering your AHI and lowering your snoring.
Move the pressure up about one centimeter at a time for several nights for each setting and keep checking your reports.
If you're sleeping supine (on your back), try sleeping on your side. Supine sleeping is typically the worst position position for both of those events.

Ditto, also if you can sleep on your side, I prefer my left.... I admire your leak rate, looking good! You don't look like you are mouthbreathing. JimWulfman... wrote:You need more pressure.......for lowering your AHI and lowering your snoring.

Re: SNORING AGAIN
Here is last nights daily detail. Should I bump it up another CM or half CM? Or is there a 1/2?

Re: SNORING AGAIN
There are some home remedies you can try that involve herbs and foods that are safe and be bought anywhere such as honey, but remedies made specifically for anti-snoring are even better.
Avoid sleeping on your back, as gravity makes it more likely for your tongue and soft tissues to drop and obstruct your airway. Avoid caffeine and heavy meals within two hours of going to bed, especially dairy products and soymilk. Elevating your head four inches may ease breathing and encourage your tongue and jaw to move forward. There are specially designed pillows available to help prevent snoring by making sure your neck muscles are not crimped. Establish regular sleep patterns.
And some people believe that throat and jaw exercises help to stop snoring by strengthening your weakening throat and jaw muscles that are responsible for your snoring. I've had a snoring problem for years and none of the over the counter stuff cut it. But Zyppah Rx seemed to do the trick. You can find a review of the product here: http://reviews.3dsvita.com/ways-to-stop ... hat-works/
Good luck and keep us updated!

Re: SNORING AGAIN
You're making progress. Your AHI is now (barely) below 5. You should try bumping it up another centimeter. You might try another night at this setting before working up. Yes, there are also 1/2 cm increments, but you're going to need whole ones for now. I suspect you're going to need something in the neighborhood of 12 cm to get it down some more. But, you want to work up somewhat slowly and see a few nights of data with each increment.warrior391 wrote:Here is last nights daily detail. Should I bump it up another CM or half CM? Re: SNORING AGAIN
Those last 3 reports are a huge improvement over the first reports you posted.
Last night's report was particularly good.
Leaks are essentially non existent..that's great.
I don't know that there is any real urgent need to increase the pressure any more (last night's report is pretty darn good) but I think you are at a point where 0.5 increase would likely be the thing to do if you are going to increase the pressure any further and you are also at the point where more nights using so and so pressure are needed to see how the trend wants to develop.
There comes point where increases in pressure don't offer marked results any further. You may be very close to that point.
I remember back when I was optimizing my pressure but I just had to check out higher pressures to see and I increased my minimum pressure (was using apap mode back then) upwards 3 cm from what looked pretty darn good and the AHI and general look of the report didn't change any further. So I eventually reduced that minimum back down to where it seemed to be offering the best reports and good sleep.

Thank you so much for the input. I will leave it at 10cm for now, as you stated, to see if the trend stays close to where it's at. I remember that when I first started this data reading (thanks to this forum) that my numbers were about where they are, so looks like we are on track to getting back to where I should be. I had not read my data in a long time so this is a good reminder to keep an eye on my own data.
