Quick fix ideas for mask marks?

Post by Wantok » Mon Jun 24, 2013 10:05 am

They do correlate with increasing the humidity, which I did to help the sore throat, which is gone, so I guess I can try and reduce the humidity?

Thanks in advance.

Go to Home Depot and buy an orange plastic 5 gallon bucket.

Take it home and fill 2/3's with water.

Fill the rest of the bucket with ice.

Dunk your face (or head) in the bucket and count to 10.

Repeat as often as necessary to remove the mask marks ... should only need two or three dunks (less than a minute total).

Have fun ....

Humidity has no affect to mask marks. Padacheek liners and strap covers will prevent mask marks. I use lotions to reduce the redness to mask marks. I have read in other threads that hot or cold water will reduce redness, but I quit fighting mask marks several years back. I'll tase any rascal that has any comments on them...

Never thought of tasing ... but I suppose tasing yourself might work too.

Hey Sheriff. Looking at your avatar, I don't see any marks, in fact, come to think of it, you remind me just a wee bit of Jackie Gleason; are you two related?

Hot compresses on the face in the morning. Otherwise loosen the mask, but if you need it tight because of leaks, then you must deal with one or the other.

Or, try different masks....

I look nuthin' like that ole man... a few years back my teenage son was watching Smokey and the Bandit on cable, and he was laughing real hard and rolling on the floor. He was saying, "that's you!" I started taking offense to the comment... then I realized he was right... of course... I'm much better looking...

Sheriff

PS: I'm still looking for the Bandit....

Do you really want that information to get out?

By the way, I was in the Dallas / Frisco area last week & I think I saw you hiding at the bottom of the overpass just as I got to the top.

Since I was NOT speeding (at the time), I graciously waved to you as I went by.
I think you responded by giving me the finger!
Or were you were just motioning that I got away with it that 1 time?

Google Padacheek - the owner's also a member here and lots of us use her stuff - it's great.
