I have to say that I have found this site down occasionally, I'm assuming that it was for maintenance, clean-up, etc. But it doesn't stay down long, and always comes back up again and is just fine. You might have hit a period when the site was down. I wasn't trying to use it between 9:30AM and 10AM this morning, so I can't verify what you saw, though.

I'm assuming by "not able to boot" you don't mean booting your computer, you mean not able to get to the forum. Is that what you meant? I don't know why your not being able to boot your computer would be something that you would blame on this forum, so I think that you must have meant that you couldn't get into the forum?

There is one issue with this website, but that is a security hole. That is why you'll occasionally see some bot traffic.

I visit a lot of websites and forums, some are clunky and flawed, but CPAPtalk has always been very reliable for me. Once in the last fifteen months, I could not log on - that was because they'd scheduled downtime for maintenance which I'd failed to notice. Even my ancient XP desktop with a slow CPU, a couple of gigs memory and small H/D logs onto CPAPtalk just fine.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

The number one advice for any web browsing problem.

Abandon Internet Explorer. Use Firefox or Chrome.

If that doesn't fix it, then ask for help.

zorki1c, how could it be at my end if this Website put a flag that it was TOO BUZY NOW AND TO TRY LATER? And it lasted on and of for almost an hour? Think about it

I've been utilizing this site for about nine months, and in my experience, I have never had trouble getting on the site.

I have seen that occasionally when attempting to use the forum search feature. Message about unusually high traffic...try later.
Never have seen it when just trying to do the normal reading of posts and stuff. Only when I was trying to search.

I had a problem maybe one time about a year ago. Others reported similar problems at that time and then we found out the site had been down for several hours.

Not one problem since.

Same here. I got that the first time yesterday while doing a search. Just perusing the topics or reading/sending PM's - no problem.

I have occasionally experienced a problem connecting to cpaptalk with my iPad, but it's been rare (once or twice a month?)... and it usually resolves in a few hours, so it's not life changing...

I suspect it might be your internet connection. Just like some here had a very difficult time with the Forum Chat function logging them off automatically, when I never had the problem. One would suspect it is a latency thing, in which the Internet Service Provider might be involved.

Maybe clear the cache of the Browser. If using Windows, you might restart the computer, to get what some call RAM leak to go away. I personally am pretty sure it is not a good idea to go more than 24 hours without restarting the computer. But i have been wrong about a lot of things.

I have 4 GB of RAM with Intel Core 2 Duo on a MBP that is over three years old, and I get long just fine. I clear the browser cache every time I shut down the computer and restart computer at least once a day.

Which raise the question of just what kind of computer you might be using.

EDIT:
Everyone has a different experience in which masks work best for them. and we all access the internet with different machines with different routers, modems, ISP's, which leads us to have different experiences. I believe the OP has his own truth, even if it is completely dissimilar from mine.

I've never had a problem accessing the forum and still don't.

Sounds more to me like user error ... or user whiner.
