encorePro smartcard reader installation problem

Hi,
I just received my encore pro software and reader. The data management software installed fine. When trying to install the software driver for the smartcard reader I get a message from the install wizard: "You have not requested any modifications to the system" and I can't get any further. Help please.

When you get that error message, clear it, then click on (check) the option for the type of connection you want and continue. Then you should be ok.

It's been awhile, but seems like when I got that message it was because I had bought a serial port card reader and was failing to put a tickmark in front of "serial" during the driver installation. I thought whichever one was already highlighted had been automatically found simply because it was highlighted. Took a bunch of failed attempts before I noticed that what was highlighted said "USB". (Spent half a day trying to install the stuff way-back-when....grrrr!)

That may not be your problem at all, Honker, as I doubt you have a serial card reader. And yeah, I finally joined the modern era and got a USB card reader later.

Yep RG, that's exactly what happened to me as well.

Once I checked the box by the SmartCard reader I wanted to install....away it went!
