Climateline and increased AHI ?

Post by adelaideasleep » Fri Jun 14, 2013 6:40 pm

When going from a slimline to climateline tube with the Resmed S9 AutoSet has anyone experienced an increased AHI [0.6 to 2.2]. Leaks, pressure mask all the same. 10 degrees @ 75% humidity - room temperature - with the climateline set at 22 degrees on Auto. One night isn't enough to know really just curious if anyone else has any similar experience. I feel fine but don't think I like the heated tube.

I assume the machine knows your using the climateline hose. I wonder if your machine is set for the slimline vs the normal hose as that could effect its calculations but that is just a wild guess.

The hose is bulkier so it is more likely to put some sideways force on the mask which will increase leaks but your not seeing that in the data... hmmmm.

You might try better hose management as slight forces could be putting you in a slightly different position.
