Excited about the Quattro Air mask

Post by Trixie » Fri Jun 14, 2013 7:44 am

I'm beginning to think there is something wrong with the shape of my face. I have tried so many masks, chin straps, liners, taped mouth, etc. ...even the "mask of last resort" (FitLife) without a successful night's sleep. The only one that even gave me 4 hours sleep years ago was the Mirage Quattro. I couldn't control the leaks in my new one, though. In reading what you are saying about the Quattro Air, I'm anxious to try it. Has anyone tried it that has a history of jaw drop?

It's very interesting what you are saying!

Have you ever tried the F&P 431,432 or Forma masks? They have a chin support which might help with jaw drop. The Air doesn't have this support and there aren't enough reviews yet to say if it accommodates jaw drop. Good luck.

I've used the Quattro AIr & would love to help.

But I've never experienced jaw drop, so I'm not sure my input would be of much use.

My Quattro Air arrives today, so I will be able to give some news on it Monday.

Up until now I have used the F&P masks mentioned above (431, 432, Forma). The Forma is a great mask, and I have had little leaking issues with it.

The jury is still out for me but my case is a bit unusual because it's my husband who uses the mask but I'm the caregiver. I really love the weight and design of this mask and want it to work. It's easy to figure out. I think I have the adjustments worked out but Mike is having some large leaks(about 1-2hrs) out of 9hrs and I haven't figured out why yet. He doesn't know how to make adjustments himself. It's so darn quiet that even the LL don't wake me which is not really so good because I can't make adjustments for him. I'll give it a few more days before I make a decision. Again, my situation is different so don't make your decisions based on my experience. I love this mask and it seems to me that it would work for most people but I'm certainly not an authority.
