Hello,
I was set-up with a Respironics PR System One BiPAP autoSV Advanced earlier today, so I have my shiny new ASV.I am both looking forward and apprehensive about masking about tonight to see how it works.
I have two machines that I have no need of and am willing to part with for a fair bargain. If anyone is interested in either, please PM me:
1. Resmed S9 VPAP Auto with H5i heated humidifier. One new in the box H5i Resmed humidifier tub, 2 used ClimateLine Tubing, 1 new in the bag ClimateLine tubing, 1 new in the bag Resmed tubing, 7 new in the bag filters, instructions, & bag. Works perfect, just did not treat my centrals. Used for approximately 5 months.
2. Respironics PR System One BiPAP Auto w/ B-Flex and humidifier, instructions & bag. 1 used tubing, 1 used dark green flannel Snugglehose. Works perfect, just did not treat my centrals. Used for approximately 12 months.

Re: Got my ASV today - old equipment available
Hi there,
These are both still available if anyone wants them. The S9 has 1,503 hours on it and the PR System One has 1,975 hours on it. Per our host, the S9 lists new for $1,959 and the PR System One for $894, not counting the humidifiers and extras with both.
S9 package for $500 or best offer, PR System One package for $200 or best offer. I'm not trying to make money on these, just recoup some of the co-pay amount.
I'll post them to Craigslist on Saturday if no one wants.
As an aside,I frakking love the ASV. I have not slept this good in 10 years. Anyone who has centrals and is on the fence about getting one or uneasy about getting used to it, try and get a titration for one, it is awesome.

Glad to hear the ASV therapy is working so well for you. Not everyone takes to it as quickly as you have. So, count your blessings. And I definitely agree. You can try to pry my ASV unit out of my cold, dead hands! But until then, it's mine ... It's my "precious" ...

The difference is night and day. The only "problerm" i have experienced is due to the rapid pressure changes, I have had to tighten the Quattro almost to the point it is uncomfortable. I've never been able to get the thing to work using the "loose" way that is widely suggested, I guess my face just does not contour right.

Nope. It's the HUGE pressure changes that does it. No mask can maintain a seal when the pressure changes as much as the ASV therapy does. You might want to look into mask liners to help reduce the sound / leaks. Some vendors include:Mask2sleep wrote:The difference is night and day. I've presonally used the Pad A Cheek and RemZzzs mask liners. I currently use the RemZzzs. I use one per week, rather than one per night. That makes it last a LOT longer.
