I have been using CPAP for several years. A partial mask failed in a sleep study, so I wear a Mirage Quattro Full Mask.
I have a constant sore on my nose. I've tried band-aids to protect the spot, but they didn't seem to help. I use creams but nothing has helped. I asked about a new mask I thought I heard might help. But the sleep center told me that mask doesn't seal well, leaks air, and so isn't an option.
Are there any suggestions?

Re: Nose Sore for years
Have you tried a Mask Liner?
What mask were you wanting to try that they told you wouldn't work?
Have you ever tried any mask that doesn't put any sort of pressure on the nose?
They make them even in full face masks. They are a combination of nasal pillows and an oral interface...called the Hybrid for those people who can't use nasal mask (over the nose or nasal pillows) due to problems with mouth breathing.
Edit: what pressure do you use?

Put neosporin on the band-aid pad before you place it on the sore.sbgrace wrote:I have a constant sore on my nose. I've tried band-aids to protect the spot, but they didn't seem to help. Are there any suggestions?
Do this every night for a few days.
You should see some improvement.
Thereafter, using only the band-aid should keep the sore from returning.
I have never used them, but "liners" seem to work for some people (as Pugsy has noted).
