I'm really not sure what the differences are. ResMed does not publish release notes.
I've never used the device settings screen. Sometimes the changes are bug fixes and speed enhancements as well
as compatibility with new equipment.
If you want to go back, you'll need to uninstall ResScan (Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program), and then install v4.2.
But first you should backup you data files in c:\users\public\public documents\resmed\resscan3\patients. You'll see a
folder for each patient that you created. If your data is gone after the uninstall/reinstall, you can copy your patient files
to the same location you got them from.
But I must confess that as I have never done this, I am not positive about this procedure. I'm also not sure that
v4.3 patient files are backwards compatible with v4.2. Please wait until (if?) others chime in.
You're probably better off just living with 4.3
