I have had trouble the past couple of weeks getting my data. First I thought it was a bad SD card, so I got a new one & now get a message that Encore Basic cannot detect a PR card. Also SleepyHead cannot detect data either. Does it require a specific PR card? I just got a cheapo from Best Buy ($4.99).
I'm puzzled, since the card seems to be receiving data from the machine when I plug it in. I cannot even read either card on the PC (there are no files there). My hubby has the same model & I'm getting his data just fine, that's how I know its not the software.
Any thoughts?
Jen

any sd, sdhc or sd micro card should work. make sure the card is not locked. the little pin on the side should be facing the machine just like your other one.

Any card will work... I just bought a cheapo one from Walmart the other day.
What does the PR1 say under the Status screen? Also, pop the card back into your PC and copy a file over to it to rule out the card. If it works, I would say the drive in the PR is toast.

Re: Can a data port on PR S1 560 go out?
Unplug the 560 from the electric source and then plug back in. See what happens after tonight.
I had my 750 go whacko on me this week. Thought it was the SD card...got a fresh one...nope.
I wasn't getting any data on either SH or EncoreBasic for the prior night and I know the SD card was in the machine properly.
Tried several combinations of things...finally decided to unplug the machine so that it had to reboot and I was then able to get summary data only for that one night (I lost all the normal graphs that are usually stored on the machine). Ever since then things are back to normal but for some reason the machine quit writing to the SD card that one night. It should have stored all the data except wave form but it didn't so I know that there was something going on within the insides of the machine and the internal software and whatever it does to write to the SD card.
Make sure when you plug the machine back into the electric source and then insert the SD card that the machine recognizes the SD card. Mine wasn't recognizing the SD card at all and I now I make sure to watch it.
And yes...when it wasn't recognizing the SD cards that I tried I was for sure inserting them fully and correctly....the machine was simply not recognizing them. I thought "oh crap"... Something bad has happened and the reboot was a last ditch effort to resolve the issue. I got lucky.
Hopefully yours is just doing something weird like mine did and a reboot will fix things. You may need to wait over night to see if it worked or not.

Re: Can a data port on PR S1 560 go out?
I had a similar problem when I changed machines, the software (Sleepyhead and ResScan) said there was no data when I tried to import it. Turns out that my software was setup to look for the "F" drive for the SD card and when I changed machines it somehow changed to a "G" drive. Therefore, my software was looking for the F drive when my computer had designated the SD card as a G drive then the software could not find the data. All I had to do was make sure my software knew to go to the "G" drive and it fixed the problem....Long story short (too late...) make sure your software is looking for the right drive....
