Anyone have the same problem with the FX?

Post by acidragon » Mon May 20, 2013 9:42 pm

I enjoy my swift fx nasal pillows when I'm not tossing and turning. It doesnt feel like much on the face and is pretty comfortable but when I move around it tends to cause leaks and tugs at my nose. Does anyone have a solution to this like a piece of gear/clip on top of the head to hold the tube in place? Sort of like an elephant touching the top of his head with his trunk?

Yes I had this problem. I use a clip on a strip of velcro that wraps around the tubing. I clip it to the front of my PJ's. I got the clip off of a mask that didn't work.

I have a Hozer. That works for me on the Swift fx and my Elan.

I already do use a clip on it, I use one from an older LT.Altering my masks as soon as I get them is pretty much routine.I have been trying to get used to the fx but these days due to its flippidy/floppidiness I switched back to the LT which I find a lot more stable albeit a bit more bulky.

A scrunchy works, too. Loop it onto the top strap, and thread the short tube through it.
I believe that cpap was the primary purpose for these cute little devices; but it is OK to use them on children's hair in the daytime.
Just make sure you have spares, as every playground has a burrowing barrette and scrunchy eater in residence.
