Taking RemStar Auto-Flex CPAP machine to France & Israel

Post by Sigrid » Sat May 11, 2013 11:05 am

Hi, this summer I will be in France for a week and Israel (4 weeks) (at a kibbutz) and will be taking my machine with me.
Any advice to make sure it works in France and Israel? How can I tell if it is dual voltage and do I need to flip a switch? I have lots of converters and plug adapters.
Thanks!

It will automatically run on 110 or 220v. You just need the right adapter for the plug.

See bottom of your power supply brick, it should say "100-240v".

write or email to the secretary of the kibbutz in Israel and ask which kibbutz members use CPAPs and if it's ok to communicate with them.

I took my machine to France last year and had no issues. I bought a set of plug adapters on Amazon, that covered me for any country in Europe. The only other thing I would suggest is an extension cord. I always keep one packed in my travel bag because I never know how close the nearest plug will be to the bed. It has saved me countless times. The extension cord I use is 10 feet in length and it works well with the adapters.

Have a wonderful time on your trip. I wish I was returning to France this year but I am going to Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa at the end of the week.
