Humidity and Temp Settings for Spring and Summer

Post by ringo728 » Sat May 04, 2013 7:00 pm

I'm new to CPAP and facing my first spring and summer. Depending where you live, spring and summer is just over the horizon. Thank God! It's been long overdue! What are the optimum temp and humidity settings for the warmer seasons? I'm between 3.0 to 3.5 on my ResMed humidifier during the late winter and my temps are between 72 and 75. It's been around 40 degrees at night (window a little open) where I live and the room humidity is aroung 40 to 45%. Winter of course is much dryer. I'm now new to summer months. Comments on where other CPAP users are on their settings. Thanks!!

I often suffer from blocked nose and i did experiment with much higher settings to combat this. The result was not good,I would have one night where it seemed to help and then much worse blocked nose after that. I have now stopped experimenting and i leave it at 25C no matter what the season is.Even if I am in a humid asian country it stays the same.

I leave mine set to auto and 78 degrees year round. In auto the machine maintains 80% humidity.
