Hi everybody.
I have a ResMed S9 auto and my pressure is now set at 17 and it can go up to 20, which it does from time to time. I always wear a CMS50D+ Oximeter just to keep up with my O2 level. At this time it stays around 94%. If I have major leaks it goes down to 93% and without any leaks up to 95%.
I have been using a Micro Nasal Mask ever since I got started with my therapy a few months ago, and leaks have always indicated that I'm a mouth breather.
I also now have a Wisp Mask and although the leaks seem to not be as bad my AHI is now about 1.80. My pressure setting was changed 3 weeks ago from a constant 17 cm H20 to 17min. to 20 max. cm H2O.
I also have a hospital Full Face Mask that I acquired when my sleep study was done and although it is a cheap mask it seems that my Oxygen Level is a little higher when I wear it from time to time because of my allergies.
I am going to ask my DME to change my pressure setting back to a constant 17 and I would like to acquire a Full Face Mask, but I'm not sure which one to purchase. I have tried Respironic's Full Face Mask, but it didn't seem to work very well so they took it back: it was just a loaner.
I have somewhat of a round face with fat cheeks so finding a FFM that won't leak may be impossible. If you have any suggestions please let me know. With Allergy Season upon us I have no choice, but to use my full face mask: believe me when I tell you that it can make some noise.
Have a Great Week End,
Jim
