Public Apology for a public hissy fit

Post by dlanbro » Fri May 03, 2013 1:46 am

Thank you all who replied to my public melt down with understanding and empathy. I try to keep myself from typing when I'm frustrated but obviously I failed when I posted "I'm Done". My apologies are served well seasoned with humility. I slept that one night without my mask and woke up with a major headache that I had been accustomed to for at least 20 years and that disappeared when I started my therapy. Once again, wisdom from an unusual place. I'll attempt to keep my frustrated typing in check from now on, knowing that give it a day and it will be better.

Thanks again,
Dave

No problem, we all have a bad day from time to time. Easy to say things that one wishes one hadn't said, nice for you to apologize, though *smile*.

Take care.

No problem. Sometimes we just have to throw a hissy fit and go off stomping our feel in disgust.
Been there....done that.. myself.
Welcome back to here and also using the machine. Sometimes I have quietly suggested to someone who says "this damn thing isn't working at all" that they just do without for one night...they usually learn the same lesson you learned.

I'm so glad you came back and are continuing with your cpap.
Why?
Yesterday I had come to pretty much the same place you were!! I came very close to posting I'm just DONE!
I had the hardest time yet talking myself into "hosing up" last night.

What stopped me from posting how I felt?
I such a newbie to everything that I don't do much posting. I took a walk and bitched at the birds! (and everything in sight non breathing I kicked)

My first post here was titled dreading another night and I'm still dreading another night, every night! It's now a month since I started and 4 masks later, an added stiff neck, flared up TMJ, and a killer headache. I've only made it this far due to Pugsy and some posts I've read in this group that were encouraging. The comments that I consider "OFF" I file in the trash compartment of my brain and go back to looking for solutions for this 'therapy' that seems to have taken over my life.

That said I determined at 1am to GO get a buckwheat pillow today!

Welcome back. A bad night can make anyone say things best left unsaid. I've seen most the the folks on this forum do that from time to time... plus I have said some regrettable stuff too. Water under the bridge.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

This is the best place for public hissy fits. We have all gone through this and know the effects of sleep deprivation.

It has the added benefit that most of our families and friends are not on it so they don't see us wallowing in the pig poop.

This is an unnecessary return to cheap shots, DeadlySleep, as ems, the member to whom you refer, is another intelligent and respected member of this community, who has contributed nearly 1500 posts to helping us and each other with our sleep apnea therapy.

You should be following today's example on the part of dlanbro and drop the attacks and name-calling. Let's live and let live.

I agree .. Welcome Back!

Don't be too bashful. We've all had horrible days and spouted off and then wished we could "take it back".

While we can't "Take it back", we can and should (like you did) apologize. It shows someone who is at least trying to be mature and manage their situation.

Best wishes for much better sleep!!
