Are you pre-heating your humidifier? I found that if I turned my heater on more than a couple of minutes before the cpap, then the heat would turn off after an hour or so.
Now I just turn the heat one right before I turn the cpap and it stays on all night.
stoopid humidifier.

Some of the integrated humidifiers automatically turn off IF the xPAP machine is not turned on within 20 minutes. You may want to check into that as a possibility.

There may be good reasons to get a UPS, but it probably won't help keep your Humdifier on. When I tested my Respironics machine a while back, I found the following to be true:RedThunder94 wrote:i may just have to get one, thanks for the info,
- Heated Humidifier automatically comes back ON after power outages.
- Heated Humidifier automatically goes OFF when alarm activates and then stays OFF, even when unit automatically turns back on.
Personally, I think the way Respironics designed this is just plain GOOFY. Since they designed it to automatically come back ON after power outages, they could just as well have designed it to come back ON after alarms and auto-off events, but they didn't. Don't know why. Might have saved 'em a buck or two, or maybe just an oversight. Anyway, that's the way it works though. If you get a UPS thinking it will fix the problem you're experiencing, you'll be disappointed.

Bill

bump this thing back up, lol, anyways totally forgot abot this thread, but i found out that my humidifier is actually the culprit for this particular mishap, the humidifier is supposed to turn off after twenty minutes of preheating, but once every now and then it will shut off after less than a few minutes of preheating. so now i make sure the humidifier is still on after i mask up for the night, i got the apc battery back up anyways just in case for extra piece of mind and have yet to use it, at least to my knowledge. thanks again to everybody for their input.
