Evidently I'm an idiot...
Apparently when I put my SD card into my S9 after transferring my data to my computer I did not push the card all the way into the slot. So evidently I'm a complete idiot. So when I got up this am to to upload my data the was not much there just "This day just contains summary data, only limited information is available". Am I correct in assuming that this data is "lost" forever? The thing that aggravates the most is the timing of my idiocy, my first night on my new Mirage Liberty mask. Oh, well at least I know the card is seated right now so I should get some data tonight. Live and learn.....

If you're an idiot, I'm a bigger idiot. Oh, look, here's my card, still in the card reader from Sunday morning... Like the wise man says, "Feces presents Itself..." (shit happens)

Hey John, all is not lost in your situation because the PR S1 machine stores almost all of the important data on its internal memory...when you finally remember to put the SD card in the machine the only thing you will have lost is the flow rate graph..on SleepyHead the flow rate black line thing...In Encore all that is lost is wave form graphs which are the flow rate graphs. Bet you won't hardly miss it.John from Brookston wrote:If you're an idiot, I'm a bigger idiot. Oh, look, here's my card, still in the card reader from Sunday morning.
Resmed S9 users...lose just about everything except basic summary stuff...AHI and hours of use and the stuff that shows up on ResScan on the statistics page...leak number but no detail graphs. So not everything is lost in ResScan.
Using SleepyHead...pretty much everything is lost be SH needs to pull data from the detailed files and those are not avaialble.
I have done it...big goose egg in sleephead..but with ResScan I have the basics anyway.

One of the benefits of turning your S9 off at the power outlet (when you have finished with it after sleeping) is that when you turn it on again the following evening, it will display a warning message for a while if there is no SD card propely inserted in the in the SD card slot......memapenguin wrote:I did not push the card all the way into the slot

Cool I learned something new! Note to self.....turn off S9 at surge protector after getting up and removing data card.billbolton wrote:One of the benefits of turning your S9 off at the power outlet (when you have finished with it after sleeping) is that when you turn it on again the following evening, it will display a warning message for a while if there is no SD card propely inserted in the in the SD card slot......memapenguin wrote:I did not push the card all the way into the slot

Just a mention that, unlike some other countries, standard power outlets in the US do not have on/off switches.billbolton wrote:One of the benefits of turning your S9 off at the power outlet (when you have finished with it after sleeping) is that when you turn it on again the following evening, it will display a warning message for a while if there is no SD card propely inserted in the in the SD card slot......memapenguin wrote:I did not push the card all the way into the slot

I'd let the machine complete its cooldown cycle first...memapenguin wrote:Cool I learned something new! Note to self.....turn off S9 at surge protector after getting up and removing data card.

I saw another post about putting a sticky note on the on off button when you take the card out. I've been meaning to do it but haven't. I like your idea too. I've been waiting on that smart thing too. Hope it happens to both of us:-)

If you are going to be unplugging the machine anyway, I would unplug the machine before removing the SD card. Then, put the SD card back in before re-plugging the machine (assuming you remember to do that).memapenguin wrote: Cool I learned something new! ResMed does tell you to unplug the machine before removing the SD card, but if you are not planning to unplug the machine anyway, I routinely just remove & replace the SD card without unplugging.
I would also let it complete it's cool down period before I unplug it.
The cool down period also does dry a hose just a little bit.

I put my reader with card inside in a pants pocket since I wasn't going to the back of the house right away. Long story short, I washed the pants without removing card and reader.
Fortunately, a night resting in rice cured both.

I've been tempted to get two cards and put one in the machine immediately when I take one out.
