Capacity of the ResMed SD card has doubled?

The ResMed SD card that came with my S9 AutoSet purchased in December 2011 has a usable capacity of 947 MB.

I was showing someone how to download the data from their ResMed SD card (S9 AutoSet purchased in late February 2013) & noticed that it had a usable capacity of 1.83 GB

Is ResMed now putting SD cards in their S9 AutoSets that has twice the capacity than previous.

You will never fill up even the 1 GB ResMed SD card, so I was wondering why they doubled the capacity to 2 GB?

Is it merely the lack of any 1 GB SD cards?
And ResMed is merely putting their name label on the more available 2 GB SD cards?

OR the S10 is coming out soon & it will utilize a 2 GB SD card?

My guess: It's getting harder to find such "small" capacities and/or it's cheaper to go with 2Gb now.

I notice there is a sticky label over the original on the SD card.
Somebody may have gotten a pallet deal from DX.

I use a 16gig card in my S9 all the time. It's still just gives me 7 days of detailed data before it over writes. I wish it would store more data but I think the machine software would need to change so it would be able to use the additional space.

The firmware is probably intentionally simple for typical RT's.
