New user with sore nose

Post by bspecial » Wed Apr 17, 2013 10:22 am

I received my CPAP on Monday. I have used it for two night now. I have taken it off in my sleep each night. I did wear it longer last night.
I have noticed that it has made the bridge of my nose very sore. I did loosen it up some, but my nose is very sore.....Please Help.
I have looked for an AWAKE group in my area, but could not find one, any suggestions?
Thank You

Welcome to the forum.

Please add your equipment to your profile

When we know what you are using we can then offer more specific ideas.
There are some specific hints for masks that touch the bridge of the nose but it really helps us help you if we know exactly what you are using.

Right now about all we can offer is that the straps are likely too tight and maybe use a mask liner.

Like Pugsy said, no idea what mask you are using. I had the same problem but it was because I had the wrong size mask. I needed a medium size instead of the large. To keep it from leaking I had to tighten the straps too much which made the mask put to much pressure on the bridge of my nose. After 3 nights of enduring that I was ready to drop kick that mask into the next county.
