Doctor Says.... (ding!) Continue Konopin!

Post by John from Brookston » Fri Apr 12, 2013 9:47 am

Sorry for the "Family Feud" lead-in...

Called my PCP and told her what was going on, expressed my concerns about long-term usage of this stuff, and she said "no worries!" so it's back on the Little Red Pill...

I don't recall any problems with feeling "dopey" when I'm awake, so I'm not worried about that.
Hell, when you stop to think about it, OXYGEN'S "habit forming", but that's OK, right?

So either tonight or tomorrow night I'll be back in hose-land.

Just be smart about how you do it. In other words, don't take more than the dose she recommended. If you find you continually have to updose in order to get the same effect, have a discussion with your doctor. Taking a benzo is not the greatest thing in the world... but neither is not sleeping.

Refresh my memory, please. Do you have restless leg syndrome or something like that?

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

ems,
That is great piece of advice. I have to take benzos in the middle of the night to get back to sleep, and someday hope to get off of everything. But that will be a battle for another day.

No, I don't. Didn't show up during the study, and well, I sleep alone so of course nobody's complained that I kick them.

Indeed, that's the last thing I want to do. I took 1/2 a mg nightly for 30 days and that dosage continues to be effective. I notice no problems when I wake up in the morning. Caution and moderation is the way to go, I think.

Got into a huge argument this weekend that had me worked up to point that I was awake for 25 hours before I just plain crashed, so there's "no reliable data". So upset I couldn't stand the mask even with the benzo. Maybe back in the cushion tonight...
