Is there any way of storing specific posts

Post by Offerocker » Sun May 21, 2006 3:54 pm

Hi, All

There have been so many posts that I want to KEEP.
Some of them may be "OFF-Topic" to the Subject.

I know that I can do a "Favorite" to that page, or copy & paste to MSWORD, or...

But I thought I'd ask if there is currently available a method to 'mark' a specific post and/or place it in predefined storage? I KNOW, WE'RE ON A FREE SITE, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Also, I realize that I can do a search, but there are times I don't necessarily remember the subject, except that it was important at the time, and most likely worth keeping.

Thank for your time.

One quick thought is to quote it and make a reply to it.
Then you can click on my posts and read all you have made.

Another is to copy it and paste to a file that is placed on your sesktop- click on it and paste it into it.

Offerocker,

If you are using Internet Explorer, you can create favorites for each post you want to save and then under the file tab pick export. Using this you can select all the favorite you want to export. This export them to an HTML page that has a "clickable" list of each post.
Sincerely,

Another option is to use Evernote. http://www.evernote.com
It's free and it's a great way to clip and save parts of or all of a webpage. You can also go into the program later and organize the clips into catagories. If you use Firefox, you can also get an extension for Evernote to make it even easier to use.

I cut and paste

Post by dllfo » Tue May 23, 2006 5:28 pm

I like the cut and paste because when I am traveling I can look it up real
easy, besides the grandkids pictures, why else did I get this hundred kabillion,
kajillion megabyte hard drive?

And I do sort by my "name" to find stuff. It is pretty fast way...BUT it does NOT always work for me. If I have posted to twenty subjects, I seem to pull up
about 13-15. Don't know why.

But I certainly do agree with the concept.
Installing Software is like pushing a rope uphill.
I have Encore Pro 1.8.65 but could not find it listed
under software.

I LOVE the SV.
