Newbie humidifier question

Hello Forum, I have had my machine for just over a week now and things are going ok. My question is about my humidifier, or the reservoir to be specific. The DME guy told me to dump and refill every day however, I am not using very much water each night and I am not sure why I should dump a nearly full reservoir every day. Is there a good reason too or is they guy just in bed with the distilled water industry? Thanks.

You are indeed on the right track....just topping up your tub is fine, that's all I do every night. Just make sure you are only using distilled water.
