Please Post Pressure in Profile

Post by jdm2857 » Fri Mar 01, 2013 8:52 pm

I think that many of us would find it very helpful if everyone would include their pressure(s) in their equipment profile.

Advice that works at low pressures may not work at high ones (and vice versa, of course.)

Knowing the pressure an advice-giver uses would make it easier for readers to determine whether the advice given
might work for them.

To add your pressure to your profile go to:

User Control Panel (just below the cpaptalk.com logo) > Profile > Edit Equipment > Additional Comments

and type away.

Thanks.

Good idea. Added my pressure... that will save a lot of typing 'what's your pressure? '

Thought this could use a bump up, I noticed a lot more putting their pressure setting in profiles. Keep the trend going it is so much more helpful even when looking at others suggestions to know how close they are to your own pressure. And honestly who wants to have to ask every time "what is you pressure setting?”
Also don't forget to update once and a while, I know pressures get tweaked here and there....
Thanks all! This has been a really helpful thing to be able to see at a glance, for this newbie.

we could form an "over 15cm pressure" or a "bi-pap" club...

share tips on solving mask leaks, cushion life span comparisons, etc..

solving mask leaks with pressures over 15cm takes some creative work at times.

No I did not.

It was there years ago. I wonder if some update to the board intermediately accidentally wiped it out.

Will fix that immediately.

-Addition-

I just went to my profile, and S8 AutoSet II is set.

Tried to update it and it still doesn't show on the on my posts?

What's up with that?

Wish everyone would use the text links, too, it's nearly impossible to tell what the pics are unless you click on them

Either people should use the text option, or cpap.com should add tool tips to the icons so that hovering over an icon displays the text.

Good idea. Maybe Flex/EPR setting might be useful too.

why exactly do the high pressures work with asv and the resmed adapt? I was originally titrated on epap 5 ps max 15cm so up to 20cm max. I heard that raising the epap lowers your AHI. I'm worried it will wake me up and not let me reach deep sleep
