Can someone pls help me w/CPAP lingo; what do they mean?
Can someone pls help me w/CPAP lingo; what do they mean?
I have to believe, that as a newbie, there must be others out there that just don't understand the CPAP lingo. Is there a site I can go to or can someone help us..perhaps list what everything stands for. I have posted recently about my stomach bloat and so many have been helpful, but to honest I spend so much time looking up the initials mean. Is that strange, or is this normal? I consider myself a smart woman, but wow...sometimes I am completely stumped on what we are talking about. Anyone else have this problem...or just me? Please help...thanks so much!

At the top of the screen is CPAP Wiki, then click CPAP Definitions.

Also take a look in my signature line for the SleepyHead Glossary....the terminology and acronyms from the reports were take from the manuals for each machine. Little different wording and explanation on some of the words.
I have a link in my signature line for the SleepyHead Glossary but it encompasses a lot of other stuff too.
Then if you see something you don't understand...just ask.
Or if you see something in the glossary that needs more explanation ...just ask.
Oh, don't feel bad about not knowing...it took me 3 days to figure out what DME meant. I knew Durable Medical Equipment easy but took 3 days to sink in that it was also the place of business who was supplying the equipment.

AFlex...one of the terms of the various forms of exhale relief for the respironics machines.

Check out the SH glossary in my signature line...it's a little newer

Pugsy..you are the best. Thanks for all your help, and not making me feel "silly" for asking. I appreciate it. Thank you to the entire cpap community for your help. i will be back more often than you know. What a learning experience it has been for me so far, but I am determined to "figure" it all out. My goal...keep the machine, get rid of he bloat. Thanks again.. DonnaPugsy wrote:AFlex...one of the terms of the various forms of exhale relief for the respironics machines.
