Battery backup??

Post by DeeMax45 » Thu Mar 14, 2013 9:17 pm

I'd like to find a small size (preferably less than 15#s) battery backup to use with a Respironics REMstar Auto A-Flex model # DS560S. Does anyone have a recommendation for one?

I was leaning towards the one seen here <http://www.cpaptravelbatterypack.com/re ... -pack.html>, but it says that it's not compatible with the DS560.

Thanks,

Dee in FL

Updated info: I just received an answer to the email that I sent to the company asking if they were going to have a battery pack that will work with the DS560S. The answer is yes although the web site hasn't been updated yet to show it. However, she didn't tell me the part # or price so I sent her another email asking for that info. I'll post that info later.

Latest info received from the company mentioned above: Elsa's response to my question still didn't give me a part#, but she did say that the price would remain the same as shown on the link above. This would appear to be the least expensive battery option for a travel size battery backup unit that I've found to date. BTW, the website still hasn't been updated.

You just need the Respironics DC cable for the 60 series machines, and it will work with that battery.

Realize that you won't get a lot of run time with small battery packs. Maybe a night or two without humidifier. Much less with the humidifier heat turned on.

The same battery in that post would be my choice.

I would also opt for the battery discussed in the thread that Cosmo linked to that JohnO is using with this 60 series machine.
But it is on a wait list for availability...they must have had a big sale on them.

I saw in an older thread that it was also $300 1 year ago at that same webstore. So that is the price they have been selling for. Its a good fair price in my opinion. No other place has it for that cheap.
