Need More Sleep After Getting CPAP
Need More Sleep After Getting CPAP
I used to tell everyone that I felt worse after 8 hours than if I stayed up late and got only 4. Now that I have the CPAP the opposite is happening, and I find myself needing that full night of sleep. Has anyone else experienced this? What's up with that?

I think it's your body getting adjusted to cpap and getting quality of sleep we were all deprived of. Catching up on lost time

I think before when you got 8 hours of sleep you got less oxygen for a longer amount of time than if you went for four hours - so you felt worse.
Now you're going for a full night with more oxygen and your body is liking it and getting the rest it needs . . . so it's BETTER to stay in bed all night than just to go for a four hour shut down.

I agree with tye and quietmorning.
Your body will adapt to the new homeostasis and gradually your sleep requirements will adjust to about five 90-minute REM cycles per night.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
